AquaLuxe Swim Goggles by POD - Clarity, Comfort and Lens Choice

Foggy lenses, leaking seals, and pressure headaches end sessions early. The AquaLuxe range was developed to address each of those problems directly - built on six years of goggle development and feedback from eight previous POD goggle models across a broad range of face shapes and swimming styles.

The Lenses

Every AquaLuxe uses EverClear 180-degree broad vision curved polycarbonate lenses. Shatter-resistant with anti-fog coating and UV380 protection, blocking nearly 100% of UVA and UVB radiation up to 380nm. The lens choice determines how the goggle performs in different light conditions.

Clear Lenses

  • Best for: Indoor pools, low-light conditions, and overcast outdoor swims
  • Maximum light transmission for natural visibility underwater. Suited to lane swimming and darker water conditions where clarity is the priority.

Black Tinted Lenses

  • Best for: Bright indoor or outdoor conditions and open-water swimming in direct sun
  • Reduces glare and eye strain. Useful for sighting buoys in open water or reading lane lines in a brightly lit pool.

Mirror Lenses

The mirror-coated lenses combine appearance with function. The reflective coating reduces harsh sunlight from the front. Six lens options are available across the AquaLuxe range.

  • Blue Mirror Lenses: Reduces glare with a soothing effect on the eyes. From the front the lens displays a blue or purple hue, transitioning to an aqua teal sheen. The view through the lens is neutral or slightly amber.

Blue Mirror - Enhanced Water Definition

  • Gold Mirror Lenses: A warm golden hue that improves depth perception and contrast. From the front the lens transitions from gold to a blue-green shimmer. The view through the lens is a tranquil purple tone. Effective in bright sunlight for swimmers who want sharper visual distinction.

Gold Mirror - Glare Reduction with Warm Tone

  • Green Mirror Lenses: Reduces glare with a natural tonal quality that suits open-water swimming and coastal environments. The view through the lens has a slight green cast that works well in varied outdoor light conditions.
  • Silver Mirror Lenses: Maximum reflective glare reduction. The view through the lens is neutral and clean. Suited to intensely bright conditions where controlling light entry is the priority.

Fit and Comfort

The AquaLuxe uses a BioFit design that adapts to different facial structures. LuxeSeal 3D hypoallergenic soft silicone gaskets sit around the eyes without creating pressure marks or irritation during extended sessions. The DuraFlex silicone frame, nose bridge, and adjustable headband hold position through flip turns and wave entries without tightening against the face.

Common pressure points that cause goggle headaches - frame edges, nose bridge contact, and strap tension - were each addressed in the BioFit development process.

Construction

Shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses. Silicone frame and gaskets. The low-profile design reduces frontal drag in the water. The construction suits pool training, open-water swimming, bodyboarding, and bodysurfing - conditions where splash, wave entry, and sustained wear all test the seal.

Six Years of Development

The AquaLuxe is the result of six years of research and development across eight previous POD goggle models. That process covered youth and adult sizing, a range of face shapes and sizes, and direct feedback from swimmers using POD goggles in training and competition. The design decisions in the AquaLuxe - the gasket profile, the nose bridge range, the frame flex - came directly from what those earlier models revealed about where goggles fail.

POD examined both masks and goggles during development and chose to focus on the goggle format. A mask delivers a wide field of view but adds frontal profile and weight. The goggle format, when the seal and lens quality are correct, delivers clarity and fit without the drag penalty.

Complete Your Swim Setup

The AquaLuxe sits within a wider POD aquatic range built around the same design criteria - function first, materials that hold, nothing added without a clear purpose.

  • POD Dry-Capsule Goggle Case: Ventilated around the entire surface for airflow and drainage. Internal mesh lining protects against scratches and sand. Flexible, impact-resistant, and water-resistant with a spring snap carabiner clip. Every AquaLuxe includes one.
  • POD Swimmers Centre Snorkel: A low-profile hydrodynamic PVC triangular tube with a one-way purge valve and silicone bite mouthpiece. Lets swimmers focus on stroke and body alignment without turning the head to breathe. Suits stroke development and cardiovascular training.
  • POD PF1 Swim Fins: Made from natural Malaysian floating rubber. A symmetric blade suited to swimming, bodysurfing, and bodyboarding. Variegated colour straps and rails - each pair is distinct.
  • POD Silicone Swim Caps: 100% silicone. One-handed fitting. Keeps hair clear of the face, reduces drag at the surface, and protects against chlorine and salt. Available in a range of colours.

Certifications

  • Australia: Compliant with AS/NZS 1067.1:1990
  • USA: Meets ANSI Z80.3 - blocks at least 95% UVB and 60% UVA
  • United Kingdom: Conforms to BS5883

Care

  • Rinse in lukewarm fresh water after each use
  • Do not touch the inner lens surface - the anti-fog coating is applied to the inside and will degrade with contact
  • To remove chlorine or salt buildup, use lukewarm water with a few drops of mild dishwashing detergent. Rinse thoroughly and hang to dry
  • Store in the POD Dry-Capsule case to protect the outer lens surface
  • Do not leave in direct sun or in a car on hot days - sustained heat degrades the silicone and anti-fog coating
