Care and Precautions

Keep your POD gear performing like a pro with these simple tips. Treat it right, and it'll treat you to endless waves.

Rinse After Every Session – Salt, sand, and grit are fun in the water, but not on your gear. Give your handboard, fins, and accessories a good rinse with fresh water every time you hit the surf.

Air Dry in Shade – Let your gear breathe. Lay it out in a shaded, ventilated spot to dry naturally. Direct sun for hours can fade colours and weaken materials.

Keep It Cool – Hot cars and scorching sun are a bodysurfer's worst enemy. Never leave your board or fins baking in the heat; it can warp or damage them, and no one wants a melted handboard.

POD Fins are not engineered for fittings below the stated and engraved in each size (less than one size); this will alter the intended foot size to blade length ratio. Larger feet will compromise the swim fin's structural strength due to overstretching or overloading, voiding the warranty. Rubber fins are for swimming and are not intended for forward walking or running (they are not shoes). Bending the blade beyond 35° in any direction from excess load will tear or crack the sole or blade, void the warranty. Walking or running backwards will prevent the above from occurring.
