System Maintenance: Ensuring Maximum Lifespan
Proper care is non-negotiable for maximising the performance and durability of your complete POD setup. Treat your gear like the investment it is:
- Immediate Neutralisation: After every session, thoroughly rinse your handboard, fins, socks, and savers using fresh water. This immediately neutralises corrosive salt and sand.
- Thermal Integrity Rule: NEVER expose the WOW board or fins to extreme heat (hot cars, direct summer sun). Excessive heat is the primary factor leading to material degradation and damage.
- Optimal Drying: Allow all components to air-dry completely in a cool, shaded, ventilated area. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which prematurely degrades rubber and PU.
- Structural Storage: Store your handboard flat to preserve its hydrodynamic shape. Keep fins upright, and avoid stacking heavy items on any gear
