Every Contact Point Covered - WOW 13", PF3, Socks and Fin Savers
The POD WOW 13" Handboard, PF3 Evolution Swim Fins, Neoprene Fin Socks and Fin Savers with Heel Protectors cover every contact point a bodysurfer has with the water. The WOW 13" is a polyurethane handboard with an 18mm concave base and built-in keel fin, a different construction from both the polypropylene Original Classic and the Hand Body Soul® cedar walnut range. The PF3 has the most flexible blade in the PF Series. Its asymmetric shape centres load over the foot, and the fin responds precisely to your movement. The fin socks fine-tune the fit inside the asymmetric foot pocket, and the fin savers and heel protectors secure the connection at the ankle.
POD WOW 13" Bodysurfing Handboard
The WOW 13" measures 330mm and is moulded from polyurethane, balanced to stay light while standing up to years of use. The material has a little give, and it springs back as the wave loads the board. Underneath, an 18mm concave leads into a mono-keel fin that guides the water along the base. That adds to the lift your hand already generates on the face and keeps the board holding your line.
On top, the convex deck fills your palm, so your hand sits naturally, and your wrist stays relaxed through a long session.
Polyurethane won't crack like a harder shell, and it doesn't need the care a timber board does. Take it out whenever the surf's on, whatever the conditions, and rinse it when you get home.

PF3 Evolution POD Swim Fins
Everything else in this kit is built around the PF3. The socks go inside it, the fin savers attach to it, and the handboard relies on your legs to keep you set on the wave.
The pocket gives the sock a close home. It's asymmetric and moulded to the true outline of a foot, so with a sock inside, the fit is snug and doesn't move under load. From there, the blade takes over. It's the longest and most flexible in the PF Series, and its asymmetric shape keeps the pressure centred over your foot instead of on the toe edge. The fin bends in step with your kick, whether you're lunging for a wave or making small corrections on the face.
Vertical rails, like the PF2, run out to the blade edge. As you ride with your hand planing out front, they hold your legs up in the face, level with the board, instead of letting them drop towards the trough.
For the bodysurfer who wants each move of the legs to show up in the water, especially when timing and position decide the wave, this is the fin.

POD Neoprene Fin Socks
A good bodysurfing session can run for hours, and any seam inside a fin sock will show well before the end. The POD 3mm Neoprene Fin Socks have none along the inner arch. A registered stitch-free construction keeps that stretch of neoprene smooth, so it lies flat against the medial arch without rubbing, no matter how many waves you kick into.
Inside the PF3, the sock also sharpens the fit. The asymmetric pocket stretches unevenly by design, following the shape of the foot, and every foot fills it a little differently. The sock closes whatever gaps your foot leaves, so the connection with the fin stays firm where you need it.

POD Fin Savers and Heel Protectors
An asymmetric pocket like the PF3's hugs the foot closely, but the heel strap can still creep when you twist and roll through a wave. The heel protectors stop that. Soft neoprene pads wrap around the fin strap and hold it steady against your heel. They also end the chafing that bare rubber causes over a long session.
The fin savers work as the backstop. A single streamlined ONE-Strap runs from your ankle to the rubber fin strap. If the shore break tears a fin loose, it stays tethered to you rather than washing up on the beach. One slim strap keeps the whole arrangement light, without the bulk and drag of a wider webbing system.
