The POD Original Handcrafted Cedar Handboard and PF3 Evolution Swim Fins suit experienced bodysurfers who want more from both contact points. The handboard is shaped from Australian cedar - individually numbered, hand-coated in marine varnish, and built for riders who value craft as much as function. The PF3 brings the asymmetric blade - the longest in the PF Series and the most flexible - centring load over the foot and moving with the body more naturally through each kick. Two considered choices, paired for the water.

POD Original Handcrafted Cedar Handboard

Since the late 1980s, POD founder and designer Shane Vassallo has handcrafted each signature shape from select-grade Australian cedar. Each board is individually numbered, reflecting its unique grain, weight, and year of creation. Natural variations in timber grain, colour, and weight mean no two boards are identical.

Each board arrives hand-coated a minimum of eight times in marine varnish, with light sanding between each coat for durability, water resistance, and a refined satin finish. It is supplied in a black drawstring neoprene bag.

The convex deck supports a natural hand position in the palm. The concave bottom and keel fin work with water flow to support lift and directional hold through the wave, keeping the board from sliding downward and reducing spray toward the face.

PF3 Evolution POD Swim Fins

The PF3 Evolution is the longest fin in the POD PF Series and the most flexible. The asymmetric blade centres load over the foot rather than the toe edge, moving with the body more naturally through each kick. Like the PF2, the PF3 carries vertical rails that extend to the blade edge, improving wave hold and keeping the legs from sliding down the wave face. The asymmetric foot pocket follows the natural contour of the foot for a precise connection under load.

The PF3 suits experienced bodysurfers and bodyboarders who want a fin that responds precisely to how they move, particularly in conditions where timing, direction, and wave positioning matter most. Available in sizes SM through L.

Step 1 - Foot Length and Width

• Small/Medium: 7-8 - Length 24 cm, Width 9 cm
• Medium: 8-9 - Length 25 cm, Width 9.5 cm
• Medium/Large: 9-10 - Length 26 cm, Width 10 cm
• Large: 10-11 - Length 27 cm, Width 10.5 cm
• Measurements are maximum sizes before stretch.
• Natural rubber stretch allowance up to 5 mm for a snug fit

Step 2 - Ankle Strap Width

• Small/Medium: 9.5 cm
• Medium: 10 cm
• Medium/Large: 10.5 cm
• Large: 11 cm
