PF1 POD Swim Fins - Forgiving Flex for Swimming, Bodysurfing and Bodyboarding
The PF1 is the lightest fin in the POD PF Series. It is a symmetrical swim fin made from natural Malaysian rubber, suited to pool training, open-water swimming, and ocean use across bodysurfing, bodyboarding, and kneeboarding.
The PF1 uses a streamlined rail that flows into the blade without vertical top rails. That structure gives the blade more natural flex than the PF2, making each kick more forgiving and easier to sustain. The lighter overall weight reduces rotational load on the ankles, knees, and hips during longer sessions.
For beginners, younger riders, fitness swimmers, and anyone managing ankle or knee strain, that combination of forgiving flex and low weight makes movement easier to maintain and easier to control. Many experienced riders choose the PF1 for exactly those reasons.
Manufactured at our Malaysian natural rubber fin factory, POD is the first to develop variegated-colour straps and rails, producing unique colour patterns inspired by ocean life. No two pairs are identical.
Where the PF1 Works Well
- Pool and fitness swimming: A light, forgiving fin for developing kick technique and building consistency across longer sessions
- Bodysurfing and bodyboarding: Natural flex and even load distribution support controlled movement and comfortable longer sessions across a wide range of conditions
- Kneeboarding: Short, controlled bursts where the board handles lift and the fin keeps movement consistent
PF1 Size Comparisons
Blade length increases across sizes, adding surface area and water response as the fin scales up.

Swim Fin Sizing Versus Shoe Size
Shoe size is not a reliable guide for swim fins. Rubber stretch, foot pocket shape, and brand sizing all vary. Use the measurements below or the POD Fit Finder for an accurate match.

Complete Your PF1 Fit and Ocean Setup
Getting the right size is the first step. How the fin feels once you are in the water depends on fit, security, and comfort over time.
If you plan to use your PF1 fins in the ocean, POD Deluxe Fin Straps help keep fins secure through shore break, moving water, and turbulent conditions.
If your fins feel slightly loose at the heel, or strap pressure builds during longer sessions, POD Swim Fin Savers and Heel Protectors improve retention and reduce friction at the heel.
For feet that sit loose in the foot pocket, or for added warmth in colder water, POD 3mm Neoprene Fin Socks improve fit, comfort, and control. The POD Fit Finder will also indicate when socks, heel pads, or fin savers are worth considering based on your foot dimensions and how you plan to use the fins.
Natural Rubber - What to Expect on Arrival
PF1 POD swim fins are made from premium natural Malaysian rubber. A light white powder or waxy residue on the surface is normal and is not a defect.
It comes from mould release agents used during production and from natural compounds in the rubber that rise to the surface. It is more visible on darker rubber.
- Note on colour: Residue shows more clearly on black rubber due to contrast
- To remove: Wash with warm to hot water before first use
Care and Use
POD natural rubber swim fins are made for swimming, bodysurfing, bodyboarding, kneeboarding, and ocean photography.
Walk backwards when wearing fins. It preserves the blade and extends the fins' lifespan.

Fins are awesome
I would give you a 6 on a scale of 5. Fins are awesome, I am enjoying my fins. They have better comfort than the da fins I bought locally. I have found Australia has some awesome products not on market in USA. Thank You for such awesome fins. Aloha, Michael

Awesome flippers for girls
Being a barefoot chic with wide feet it's hard to find flippers that fit, but these are awesome. They fit really well and the soft rubber on the inside makes them easy to wear for hours. The pink and yellow colour is really cool as well. I just love these flippers!
