About POD Bodyboarding

Built for the shore and reef break. Refined through experience.

Swim Fins, Leashes, Covers and Accessories. Your Board. Your Ride.

Bodyboarding Gear Built for Real Surf Conditions

Every product here was designed and tested by people who ride the same shore break and reef you do. POD has built for bodyboarders since 1988, and each piece of gear answers a problem riders brought back from the water.

Swim Fins

Your kick drives every take-off. The fin extends it. POD swim fins are moulded from natural Malaysian Floating Rubber for flex, return and long-session comfort. The PF1, PF2 and PF3 are three distinct tools, not a ladder from beginner to advanced. The PF1 has a streamlined rail and forgiving flex. The PF2 adds vertical rails for wave hold and a sole ramp-up that keeps the toes settled under load. The PF3 Evolution uses an asymmetric blade and foot pocket that centre the load over the foot. How to Choose the Right Swim Fin and Why matches each one to how you ride. Churchill Makapuu fins are also available for riders who prefer their blade profile.

Leashes

POD Connection bicep leashes use connectors over-moulded onto friction-free swivels, so the urethane cord stretches in unison with the connector under load. Three sizes cover medium, large and X-large riders. Wrist leashes suit riders who prefer a lower attachment point. Every leash uses 316 marine-grade stainless steel hardware. Bicep vs Wrist Bodyboard Leash explains which one stays out of your way.

Bodyboard Covers

320gsm recycled knit stretch covers in four colours protect your board from UV, pressure dings and surface abrasion between sessions and in transit. Keeping Your Bodyboard Protected with a Stretch Cover covers what to look for.

Fin Accessories

POD 3mm Neoprene Fin Socks, Deluxe Fin Savers and Swim Fin Savers and Heel Protectors fix the common fit problems with rubber fins: a small gap in the foot pocket, a loose strap, and a fin lost in a wipeout. Swim Fin Fit and Comfort shows which one solves which problem.

Hardware

316 marine-grade stainless steel swivels, grub screws and leash hardware fit POD and third-party leash and fin systems. Bodyboard plugs in seven colours give you a strong leash point without damaging the deck or slick.

Questions Bodyboarders Ask

Is a bodyboard the same as a boogie board? Yes. Boogie board began as a brand name in the 1970s and stuck as an everyday name for the bodyboard.

Do I need fins to bodyboard? For anything beyond the shallows, yes. Fins let you kick onto a wave before it breaks and swim back out through the impact zone.

How do I start bodyboarding? Start at a patrolled beach in small waves, with fins and a leash from your first session. How to Bodyboard: Your Complete Guide to Surf and Safety covers choosing a board, reading waves and riding safely.

Built for the Ride

From your first sessions in the shore break to heavier waves on the reef, every product in the POD bodyboarding range has been shaped by real conditions and refined by what riders tell us. The ocean does the work. The equipment supports it.
