POD 3mm Neoprene Swim Fin Socks - Stitch-Free Comfort for Swim Fins and Flippers
POD Fin Socks are 3mm neoprene socks built for use with rubber swim fins and silicone flippers. They protect the foot and ankle from friction and pressure during bodysurfing, bodyboarding, and swimming, and help refine the fit for feet at the lower end of a fin's size range.
Registered Design - Stitch-Free Inner Arch
The POD Fin Sock registered design includes a stitch-free inner arch construction. Instead of running stitching across the base of the foot where pressure builds during kicking, the inner arch stays smooth. The sock naturally hugs the medial arch, following its contour without irritation or pressure points.

Where POD Fin Socks Help
- Reducing friction between rubber or silicone fins and bare skin
- Refining fit where the foot sits on the lower end of a fin's foot pocket range
- Adding warmth and protection in cooler water
- Reducing ankle and heel pressure during longer sessions
How do I stop swim fins rubbing and giving me blisters?
Blisters start where bare skin slides against rubber, usually across the toes, at the heel and under the inner arch. A 3mm neoprene sock puts a layer between your skin and the fin, so the fin moves with the sock instead of against your skin. The POD Fin Sock leaves the inner arch stitch-free, so no seam presses into the spot that takes the most load when you kick. If the rubbing comes from the wrong fin size, fix the size first. The POD Fit Finder shows where your foot sits.
My fins feel a bit loose. How do I get a closer fit?
A loose foot pocket lets your foot shift on every kick, and that movement causes rubbing and costs you control. If your foot measures at the smaller end of your fin's size range, a 3mm sock fills the spare room and holds your foot in place. It also keeps your feet warmer as the water cools. If the fin still slips at the heel, POD Swim Fin Savers and Heel Protectors help the strap stay in place.
Do fin socks go inside the fin, and how do I size them?
Put the sock on your foot first, then slide your foot into the fin's pocket. Keep the fin size that matches your foot measurement. POD Fin Sock sizes are built to work with POD fin sizing, and a sock works best when your foot sits at the lower end of the pocket's range. If you measure at the top of a size and want to wear socks, check the Fit Finder before you order.
Size the sock with care. Length and width are only part of the fit, because the height of your foot over the instep changes how far the neoprene has to stretch. A sock that's too small stretches the neoprene past its limit, and the strain can tear the neoprene right beside the stitching. If you sit between sizes, or your foot is high through the instep, choose the larger sock.
