POD® Pro EarSeal - One-Piece Filter-Free Waterproof Earplugs for Surf and Turbulent Water
The POD® Pro EarSeal is a one-piece triple-flange waterproof earplug with no mesh filter, no clip-in components, and no breakable junctions. It exists because experienced water users kept losing, breaking, or clogging every other earplug they tried. The Pro removes those failure points entirely.
Made from ultra-soft Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR), the triple-flange tapered profile seats deep in the ear canal and holds its position through duck dives, impacts, and sustained turbulence. A 90cm adjustable bungee cord with Nylon outer sheath and TPE core keeps the plugs secure around the neck in heavy water and strong currents. The adjustable toggle prevents accidental loss during wipeouts.
Supplied with a translucent POD Blue silicone pouch featuring a magnetic self-closing vertical entry and integrated diamond-array ventilation ports for rapid drying and hygiene between sessions.
Why Ear Protection Matters
Cold water, wind, and extended immersion place constant stress on the ear canal. Over time this can contribute to irritation, trapped moisture, discomfort, and increased risk of long-term conditions such as surfer's ear (exostosis) and swimmer's ear.
For those who spend serious time in the ocean or pool, ear protection reduces exposure without requiring full isolation. The Pro EarSeal forms a snug, tapered seal that blocks water while preserving enough environmental awareness to stay connected to surroundings.

Features
- One-piece triple-flange tapered seal - no filter, no modular parts, no clog points. The deep tapered fit maintains a stable waterproof seal through duck dives, turbulence, and impact-zone conditions
- Filter-free TPR sound balancing - the TPR material naturally manages sound without a mesh filter. No filter to clog, separate, or lose. Maintains situational awareness without muffling
- 90cm adjustable bungee cord - Nylon outer sheath with TPE core sits behind the neck. The adjustable toggle secures the cord length and prevents loss in heavy water or strong currents
- Ultra-soft TPR flanges - flex and seat naturally in the ear canal without pressure points. Stable and comfortable across extended sessions
- POD® silicone pouch with diamond-array ventilation - translucent POD Blue silicone pouch with magnetic self-closing vertical entry and integrated diamond-array ventilation ports. Promotes rapid drying and hygiene. High-contrast white carabiner for secure attachment to gear. Inspired by the same airflow principles as the POD Dry-Capsule
What Makes the Pro Different
Most waterproof earplugs use mesh filters to balance sound. Those filters clog with salt and sand, separate from the earplug body, or get lost entirely. The Pro removes the filter and uses the TPR material itself to manage sound. Fewer parts, fewer failure points.
The 90cm cord is significantly longer than the 47cm cord on the Triple-Flange model. That extra length gives more freedom of movement in the surf and more security when a wipeout pulls hard. The adjustable toggle means the cord can be set to the right length for different activities.
The silicone pouch is not an afterthought. The magnetic closure, ventilation ports, and carabiner attachment make it a functional piece of gear rather than a basic plastic case.
Comparable modular earplugs with filter systems retail between AUD $50 and $70. The Pro EarSeal delivers the same waterproof protection without the filter complexity at a straightforward price.
EarSeal Range - Which Model to Choose
- Dual-Flange - shorter insertion, natural sound awareness, goggle strap loop. Suits pool swimmers, casual ocean use, and swim cap users
