POD X-Large Bicep Bodyboard Leash - Extreme Surf POD Connection

The POD X-Large Bicep Bodyboard Leash suits the biggest riders in the most demanding conditions. Where the load on the leash connection peaks, the POD Connection uses an organic, over-moulded urethane design that stretches in a straight line with the cord. That alignment removes the twisting and kinking that occur with angled slot or perpendicular groove connectors under extreme load.

The full leash stretches up to five times its original length, mainly from the coiled urethane cord, while the connector stretches 100% without twisting. Combined with a larger coil diameter, that straight-line stretch distributes load evenly, eliminates elbow kinks, and keeps recoil smooth through the heaviest wipeouts. Available in plastic-free packaging.

Where conventional connectors use perpendicular slots or angled grooves that twist and tangle under the forces generated in extreme surf, the POD Connection moves with the cord across the full stretch range. The over-moulded urethane design maintains alignment and reduces stress concentration at connection points where failure is most likely to occur.

Questions About the X-Large Bicep Leash

Which arm do I wear the leash on?
It comes down to preference, the same way a surfer rides natural or goofy. Most riders wear it on their dominant arm, with the plug on the same side of the board. A plug near the nose lets you switch arms for left or right. Set it just off centre on the side of your leash arm, clear of the stringer. Our plug placement guide shows the position for each stringer type. Most riders have the cord leave the cuff on the thumb side so it sits on the deck, and some point it off the back of the arm. Either works, as long as the connector isn't rubbing against your body.
