The POD PF3 Evolution Swim Fins and Fin Savers with Heel Protectors pair the most flexible fin in the PF Series with the ankle retention of the ONE-Strap system. The PF3's asymmetric foot pocket distributes stretch differently from a symmetric design and can feel slightly looser in certain areas - the heel pads and fin savers address that directly, stabilising the heel and securing the connection in surf and turbulent water.

PF3 Evolution POD Swim Fins

The PF3 Evolution is the longest fin in the POD PF Series and the most flexible. The asymmetric blade centres load over the foot rather than the toe edge, moving with the body more naturally through each kick. Like the PF2, the PF3 carries vertical rails that extend to the blade edge, improving wave hold and keeping the legs from sliding down the wave face. The asymmetric foot pocket follows the natural contour of the foot for a precise connection under load.

POD Fin Savers and Heel Protectors

The POD Swim Fin Savers and Heel Protectors use a single streamlined ONE-Strap webbing connection between the ankle and the rubber fin strap. That single strap reduces the bulk and drag associated with wider webbing systems. Soft neoprene heel pads wrap around the fin strap to prevent chafing, stabilise the heel, and improve retention in surf, shore break, and moving water - exactly the conditions the PF3 is used in.

PF3 Evolution Swim Fin Sizing

For the most accurate fit, use the measurements below or the POD Fit Finder on the PF3 product page.

Step 1 - Foot Length and Width

Small/Medium: 7-8 - Length 24 cm, Width 9 cm
Medium: 8-9 - Length 25 cm, Width 9.5 cm
Medium/Large: 9-10 - Length 26 cm, Width 10 cm
Large: 10-11 - Length 27 cm, Width 10.5 cm
Measurements are maximum sizes before stretch.
Natural rubber stretch allowance up to 5 mm for a snug fit

Step 2 - Ankle Strap Width

Small/Medium: 9.5 cm
Medium: 10 cm
Medium/Large: 10.5 cm
Large: 11 cm
Measurements are before stretch.
Strap stretch allowance of 10-15 mm for a secure, non-slip fit

POD fins are manufactured for use within the stated and engraved size range. Using a size more than one size below the specified size alters the intended foot-to-blade ratio and may result in an improper fit or reduced function. Fitting fins to feet larger than the stated size may cause overstretching or overloading, which can compromise the structural integrity of the fin. Such misuse voids warranty coverage. POD rubber fins are made for swimming and are not intended for walking or running. Bending or flexing the blade beyond 35° in any direction may cause tearing or cracking of the blade or sole. Damage resulting from such actions is not covered under warranty. To minimise the risk of damage when moving in shallow water, fins should be used for swimming only. Avoid walking or running forward while wearing fins. Where movement on land or in shallow water is necessary, walking backwards will help prevent undue stress to the blade and foot cavity. This warranty does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Bought a pair of fins that turned out to be too big. Emailed Shane, who actually gave me a call and advised me on proper fitting for these fins. Asked me to return the fins and he would send out a replacement pair - no troubles. You don't seem to get that personal customer based service much anymore - except here at Pod. Thanks Shane......oh the fins are amazing.

Best Fins I have owned they deliver great thrust to get you onto the waves. The best thing about them are the soft foot pockets and great fit minimising blistering to the feet. I love the fin savers also the way they hug the back of the fin creating a better fit and also minimising blistering to the back of your aneles. Highly recommend 5 stars.

POD PF3 swim fins

My POD PF3 swim fins are getting great use. They’re utterly comfortable and compact enough not to be clumsy in the swash zone. I think my MS Viper may go to the thrift shop or be a give-away at the lifeguards’ next fund raiser, along with some other fins. DaFin might fall out of use, mainly over the poor drain holes. Two varieties of POD tethers, with and without heel pads, are working well. Thanks for the clever designs. Keep up the good work.

Really comfortable fin that has great drive and thrust! Light and great to use. One issue with the fins. one fell off whilst paddling for a wave. Luckily I also bought a pair of the heal savers! I think they could be the best fins on the market.

Perfect fit... No more socks

Received the fins mate. They were so futuristic looking, now I really know what a top of the line fin feels like. The fit is perfect, I don’t even need the socks any more they are so comfortable. Thank you Shane.

The most comfortable fins ever, I use with POD socks and fin savers. I take size 10 US and Size 9-10 fits me perfect. The Evo 3 fins are well worth the money, they are great ! Also Shane is very helpful.
