The POD Waterproof Backpack 40L and FLO Cedar Walnut Handboard pair the largest bag in the POD waterproof range with the largest board in the Hand Body Soul® range. At 375mm, the FLO gives your hand the most surface of any board in the range, made for powerful surf. The 40L packs the FLO in with your wetsuit, fins, towel and rash guard, all sealed against water and sand for the trip.

POD Waterproof Backpack 40L

At 375mm, the FLO needs a bag with real room, and the 40L has it. Slide the board in with your wetsuit, fins, towel and rash guard, and there's still space left over. The body is made of heavy-duty 500D PVC tarpaulin, and every seam is heat-welded electronically, so water has no stitch holes to find. Roll the top forward three times for an airtight, watertight seal. Then lock it with the top buckle for the short walk from car to beach, or pull the side compression straps tight when the pack stays on your back longer. Sealed correctly, it floats.

Two front pockets sit apart from the main compartment, both closed with IPX6-rated zippers that keep out heavy spray. The zips are made to size with sealed, moulded ends rather than cut from a roll. The upper one (26cm x 20cm) holds your phone, wallet, passport and keys. The lower one (26cm x 24cm) takes accessories and session gear.

Even fully packed, the weight rides close to your back. The dual-layer shoulder straps and back panel are both ventilated; an adjustable chest strap keeps the load steady, and a moulded handle and two D-rings give you more ways to carry it. Available in Black/Black and Black/White.

FLO Cedar Walnut Handboard - Hand Body Soul®

The FLO is the biggest board in the Hand Body Soul® range and the most substantial handplane POD shapes in cedar and walnut. At 375mm (15 inches), it gives your hand a broad planing surface. A deep 20mm concave runs the length of the underside and channels water across the whole board, adding lift under your hand on the face. The keel fin, shaped into the base, holds you on the line you've chosen through the wave. On top, the convex deck rests naturally in your palm.
