The POD Waterproof Backpack 40L and EGO Cedar Walnut Handboard pair the largest bag in the POD waterproof range with the most compact board in the Hand Body Soul® range. At 225mm, the EGO suits technical surf and smaller hands, giving riders who want a precise, nimble feel a small, direct contact point with the wave. The 40L packs the EGO in with your wetsuit, fins, towel and rash guard, all sealed against water and sand, with room left for whatever else the day needs.

POD Waterproof Backpack 40L

The EGO barely takes up any space, and the 40L makes good use of what's left. A whole day's gear fits around it, from wetsuit and fins to towel, rash guard, food, and a change of clothes. When it's time to walk, the load sits close to your back and stays balanced, even packed full. Dual-layer shoulder straps and a back panel both let air circulate, and an adjustable chest strap stops the bag from shifting as you move.

The body is heavy-duty 500D PVC tarpaulin, heat-welded electronically along every seam. Roll the top forward three turns and the main compartment seals airtight and watertight. Use the top buckle when you're coming and going through the day, or the side compression straps to pull the load in for a longer carry. A properly sealed bag floats.

Up front, two pockets keep the small things separate from the main load. The upper pocket (26cm x 20cm) fits your phone, wallet, passport and keys. The lower pocket (26cm x 24cm) holds accessories and session gear. IPX6-rated zippers on both stand up to heavy spray. They're made to size, with moulded ends that seal the tips where a cut zip would let water in. A moulded handle and two D-rings finish off the carry options.

EGO Cedar Walnut Handboard - Hand Body Soul®

At 225mm (9 inches) and 250 to 280 grams, the EGO is the smallest and lightest board in the Hand Body Soul® range, and the easiest to pack when you're travelling light. It's shaped from cedar and walnut, with a 16mm concave underneath that channels water across the board and builds on the lift from your hand. A keel fin, shaped into the base, holds your line through the wave. On top, the convex deck and contoured palm hold keep your hand in a natural position, even when the wave loads up.
