POD Large Bicep Bodyboard Leash - Heavy Surf POD Connection

The POD Large Bicep Bodyboard Leash suits bigger riders and heavier conditions, where the load on the leash connection increases. The patented POD Connection uses an organic over-moulded urethane design that stretches in a straight line with the cord, eliminating twisting and kinking that occur with angled-slot connectors under high load.

The connector and cord stretch together up to five times their original length. That straight-line stretch distributes load evenly through wipeouts, reducing recoil and keeping the connection smooth under sustained pressure. The larger coil diameter eliminates elbow kinks and stress points that cause premature failure in heavy surf.

POD Connection - Load Distribution in Heavy Conditions

Where conventional connectors use angled grooves or perpendicular slots that twist and drag under the forces generated in heavier surf, the POD Connection moves with the cord. The over-moulded urethane design maintains alignment through the full stretch range, reducing stress concentration at connection points.
