The POD Original Handcrafted Cedar Handboard and PF2 Swim Fins pair a limited-production timber handplane with the most structured fin in the PF Series. The handboard manages lift, direction, and hold through the wave - each one shaped from Australian cedar and hand-coated in marine varnish. The PF2 provides drive and wave hold with vertical rails that keep the legs stable on the face. Two products made to last, paired for the water.

POD Original Handcrafted Cedar Handboard

Since the late 1980s, POD founder and designer Shane Vassallo has handcrafted each signature shape from select-grade Australian cedar. Each board is individually numbered, reflecting its unique grain, weight, and year of creation. Natural variations in timber grain, colour, and weight mean no two boards are identical.

Each board arrives hand-coated a minimum of eight times in marine varnish, with light sanding between each coat for durability, water resistance, and a refined satin finish. It is supplied in a black drawstring neoprene bag.

The convex deck supports a natural hand position in the palm. The concave bottom and keel fin work with water flow to support lift and directional hold through the wave, keeping the board from sliding downward and reducing spray toward the face.

PF2 POD Swim Fins

The PF2 is the most structured fin in the POD PF Series. Made from natural Malaysian buoyant rubber, it carries vertical rails that extend to the blade edge, improving wave hold and keeping the legs from sliding down the wave face. The Sic Cut® profile, Splay Rails®, symmetric Chisel Blade®, and Tread Rails® combine structure, durability, and controlled directed movement through the water. The sole ramp-up reduces unnecessary toe movement and improves comfort under load.

The PF2 suits swimming, open-water training, bodysurfing, bodyboarding, kneeboarding, lifesaving, and ocean photography across a wide range of conditions.

Step 1 - Foot Length and Width

• Small: 6-7 - Length 23 cm, Width 8.5 cm
• Small/Medium: 7-8 - Length 24 cm, Width 9 cm
• Medium: 8-9 - Length 25 cm, Width 9.5 cm
• Medium/Large: 9-10 - Length 26 cm, Width 10 cm
• Large: 10-11 - Length 27 cm, Width 10.5 cm
• Extra Large: 11-12 - Length 28 cm, Width 11 cm
• Measurements are maximum sizes before stretch.
• Natural rubber stretch allowance up to 5 mm for a snug fit
