Made from quality 3mm neoprene with flatlock stitching and spandex bindings, fin socks help reduce rubbing and pressure points, making longer sessions more comfortable and less strenuous.
Fin Straps, Fin Savers, and Heel Protection
The POD Deluxe Fin Straps are designed to improve comfort and security when bodysurfing. A thick 6 mm webbing strap, long enough to loop around most fin straps, combines with 4 mm neoprene ankle padding to help reduce bulk and irritation around the ankle.
Most importantly, fin straps help reduce the risk of losing swim fins in the surf, especially in turbulence and wipeouts.
POD Fin Savers and Heel Protectors provide an alternative solution designed to reduce drag and bulk. Using a single webbing strap connection between the padded ankle strap and the fin strap, the design stays clean in the water and avoids plastic parts that can interfere during wave entry.

Rash Shirts and Water Sports Protection

UPF50+ soft stretch Lycra with reinforced wear areas helps protect from sun exposure while maintaining mobility. A non-slip rubber waistband and boardshort anchor loop help reduce ride-up during active sessions.

Handboard Wax and Grip
POD wax, initially formulated for handplanes, can be applied to any watercraft surface where grip is essential. It forms an even bead surface that builds well with further application and does not smudge, helping maintain secure traction over extended use.
The POD Wax Kit includes a reusable container, plus a wax comb with a set screw key that retrofits many set screws used for leash connectors and surfboard fins. The comb also includes a bottle opener for convenience.

Handboard Replacement Parts and Hardware
POD handboard replacement parts are designed to keep your handplane performing season after season. For straps and deck grip components, a purpose-built replacement set includes a double-padded 3mm neoprene hand strap, wrist leash, and an EVA deck grip palm pad with quality 3M double-sided backing tape.
POD recommends adjusting your hand strap once over your hand, then sliding your hand between the strap and the deck grip for ongoing bodysurfing use. This helps keep the Velcro securely fastened and extends its service life.

For bodysurfers who enjoy understanding and tuning their equipment, POD offers a DIY handplane kit built around a CNC-machined cottonwood handplane. The Hand Body Soul® handplane is designed to be ridden in either orientation, allowing you to adapt hand position to wave shape and conditions.
DIY Handboard Assembly Kit includes:
- One 380 mm (15") cottonwood handplane, undercoated
- Two stainless steel webbing strap retainers
- Four stainless steel fixing screws
- One 65 mm double-padded neoprene and webbing hand strap
- One neoprene and webbing wrist strap with cord

Versatile bodysurfing use:
- Long hand position, nose forward for increased surface area and lift on fuller waves
- Short-hand position, rotate 180 degrees for steeper waves, barrels, and shore breaks.
The 380 mm handplane shape increases planing surface area while remaining lightweight. A concave underside supports lift and control, while the convex deck supports a natural hand position during extended sessions.
Fit and care note: Adjust the hand strap to a snug fit over your hand. For ongoing use, slide your hand between the strap and the EVA deck grip to maintain secure Velcro contact and extend service life.
