USE THE FIT FINDER TO CONFIRM YOUR SIZE BEFORE SELECTING.

Important: Shoe sizes can vary across brands and countries. The Fit Finder uses safe averages; for the best results, we recommend measuring your foot and ankle.

+ How to Measure Foot Length + Width

Use a ruler and paper against a wall to measure foot length from heel to longest toe. Width is measured at the widest point, as shown in the diagram.

+ How to Measure Ankle Width

Use a soft tape measure around the narrowest part of your ankle where the fin strap will sit, as shown in the diagram.

PF3 Ocean Active POD Swim Fins - Limited Edition Red, Black and White Colour Range

The PF3 Ocean Active carries the same asymmetric blade, vertical rail structure, and natural Malaysian rubber as the PF3 Evolution, expressed through a limited red, black, and white colour range. The fin performs identically. What changes is the finish.

The asymmetric blade centres load over the foot rather than the toe edge. That geometry gives the PF3 the most flex of all three models in the PF Series, despite having the longest blade. The vertical rails extend to the blade edge, improving wave hold and keeping the legs stable on the wave face through each kick.

The asymmetric foot pocket follows the natural contour of the foot rather than distributing stretch evenly across both sides. This can feel different from the PF1 or PF2, even in the correct size. In some cases, it creates a slightly looser feel across certain areas of the pocket. This is not a sizing issue. It is a result of the asymmetric geometry. Where a more secure fit is preferred, POD 3mm Neoprene Fin Socks refine that connection.

The PF3 Ocean Active suits experienced riders who want a fin that responds precisely to how they move, particularly where timing, direction, and wave positioning matter most. Available in sizes SM through L.

Manufactured at our Malaysian natural rubber fin factory, each pair features a distinct red, black, and white colour finish - no two sets are identical.

Where the PF3 Ocean Active Works Well

  • Bodysurfing: Asymmetric blade centres load over the foot, supporting precise direction and stability through moving water and wave conditions
  • Bodyboarding: Vertical rails hold position on the wave face with the asymmetric blade adding flex and directional response through each kick
  • Swimming and open water: Longer blade supports sustained movement with a more flexible response across extended sessions
  • Ocean photography and lifesaving: Reliable movement and control under repeated load in varied conditions

POD PF3 Ocean Active Features

  • Natural buoyant rubber compounds, manufactured in Malaysia
  • Asymmetric blade - longest in the PF Series - produces the most flex of all three models
  • Asymmetric geometry centres load over the foot rather than the toe edge
  • Vertical rails extend to the blade edge, improving wave hold and preventing legs from sliding down the wave face
  • Asymmetric foot pocket follows the natural contour of the foot for a precise connection under load
  • Splay Rails® combined with the asymmetric blade to guide directional movement through the water
  • Cross-laminated construction with overlapping layers of varying hardness for structural durability
  • Soft rubber-lined extended foot pocket for secure, comfortable fit
  • Drainage channels allow rapid release of water and sand from the foot pocket
  • Limited edition red, black, and white colour finish - each pair uniquely patterned

Swim Fins and Shoe Size

Shoe size is not a reliable guide for swim fins. Rubber stretch, foot pocket shape, and brand sizing all vary. With the PF3, where the asymmetric pocket distributes stretch differently from a symmetric design, using the Fit Finder before selecting is especially important.

POD PF3 Ocean Active Swim Fin Sizing

For the most accurate fit, use the POD Fit Finder or the measurements below to match your foot and ankle dimensions.

Step 1 - Foot Length and Width

  • Small/Medium: 7-8 - Length 24 cm, Width 9 cm
  • Medium: 8-9 - Length 25 cm, Width 9.5 cm
  • Medium/Large: 9-10 - Length 26 cm, Width 10 cm
  • Large: 10-11 - Length 27 cm, Width 10.5 cm
  • Measurements are maximum sizes before stretch.
  • Natural rubber stretch allowance up to 5 mm for a snug fit

Step 2 - Ankle Width for Strap Fit

  • Small/Medium: 7-8 - Width 9.5 cm
  • Medium: 8-9 - Width 10 cm
  • Medium/Large: 9-10 - Width 10.5 cm
  • Large: 10-11 - Width 11 cm
  • Measurements are before stretch.
  • Strap stretch allowance of 10-15 mm for a secure, non-slip fit

Complete Your PF3 Ocean Active Fit and Ocean Setup

Getting the right size is the first step. With the PF3, where load and conditions are more demanding, fit security matters more.

If you are using your fins in surf, shore break, or moving water, POD Deluxe Fin Straps help maintain a consistent fin connection through entry, exit, and turbulent movement.

Under sustained load, pressure through the heel and strap can increase over longer sessions. POD Swim Fin Savers and Heel Protectors reduce friction at the heel while maintaining a secure connection between foot, strap, and fin.

For riders at the tighter end of the fit range, or where slight internal movement affects control, POD 3mm Neoprene Fin Socks refine fit, improve internal grip, and add warmth in colder water. The POD Fit Finder will also indicate when socks, heel pads, or fin savers are worth considering based on your foot dimensions and how you plan to use the fins.

Care and Use

POD natural rubber swim fins suit swimming, bodysurfing, bodyboarding, lifesaving, and ocean photography.

Walk backwards when wearing fins. It preserves the blade and extends the fins' lifespan.

POD fins are manufactured for use within the stated and engraved size range. Using a size more than one size below the specified size alters the intended foot-to-blade ratio and may result in an improper fit or reduced function. Fitting fins to feet larger than the stated size may cause overstretching or overloading, which can compromise the structural integrity of the fin. Such misuse voids warranty coverage. POD rubber fins are made for swimming and are not intended for walking or running. Bending or flexing the blade beyond 35° in any direction may cause tearing or cracking of the blade or sole. Damage resulting from such actions is not covered under warranty. To minimise the risk of damage when moving in shallow water, fins should be used for swimming only. Avoid walking or running forward while wearing fins. Where movement on land or in shallow water is necessary, walking backwards will help prevent undue stress to the blade and foot cavity. This warranty does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

I’ve been kneeboarding for decades and these are the best fins I’ve had. A few major brands have really dropped the ball in quality and choice. Another Kneelo told me to give Pod a go and Im so surprised. Comfortable great drive from blades quality rubber that floats . These are the bomb Add the service and follow up by Shane POD is the only fin I’d ever used SToKED thanks Paul

Stellar fin! I’ve tried a huge variety of fins over the decades of bodysurfing and bodyboarding. I live in Hawaii and pods are quite hard if not impossible to find here. But fortunately the shipping was affordable and quick from pods! In the water they have plenty of power, good hold, they change directions easier than my classic vipers I had been using, and are comfortable. The sizing is larger than US they fit big, I ordered the correct size because I knew that from previous pods I had purchased. Awesome fin, 10/10 recommend.
