I've been mostly using a pair of Da Fins for bodysurfing. They've become pretty much standard in the US. I'd fallen out of using MS Viper for this purpose and hadn't been too impressed with DMC Repellor (comfortable, but didn't feel extra power). The new PF3 fit is slightly larger than my PF2, so wearing a sock or using a padded tether is thinkable. A non-padded tether works fine. There's no need for padding for comfort. The rubber's great. The fins's drain at the end of the foot pocket quickly removes sand and the shell fragments that are a big feature of the local beach. No more fin removal and cleaning once outside. In terms of swimming power and acceleration, I need to do some comparisons. My initial impression is that the PF3's are at least as fast as Da Fin with similar number of strokes. We've had only sloppy surf lately, so no comparisons of rail behavior or usefulness for bodyboarding (should be excellent).

*Note: Please use the foot size chart below for all models of POD fins. If you have any doubts whatsoever, please visit your local stockist.
If the length of your foot is slightly longer but matches the same width in the sizes below, there is still plenty of toe room because the foot pocket itself has been extended for versatile fittings and to ensure a comfortable fit.
POD does not recommend fitting two foot sizes down in any size fins, as this may tear or crack the sole including snapping the fin strap from over stretching, plus this will change the intended foot size to blade length ratio, including the structural fin strength vs. body weight which is not covered under warranty.
Most importantly rubber swim fins are intended for swimming not walking or running. Bending the blade beyond 45° in any direction from walking, running and/or impact on the blade will cause the sole or blade to tear/crack will void any warranty.
Please review in the left hand side product images - the blade length comparison between the PF2's and PF3's this extra blade length will scale the same in all size POD swim fins.
In comparison to MS Viper: Blade Length - The extra length on the end makes a huge difference. I can feel more thrust than MS. Blade stiffness - Definitely not too stiff but enough to give you good motion. I think the splay rails combo is great! Blade rails - Stiffer than MS which gives me more propulsion. MS way too flexible for the short blade length. I dont understand why you would want a flexier version ie orange dot ones. Foot Pocket - A bit of room in toe area but still feels secure. I add ankle pads to really lock it in there. To be honest, very comfortable on the first surf. Ankle strap - Love this! Feels really secure where MS Vipers are too lose. On many occasion fins get ripped off just through duck diving. I dont feel these w PF3s. Kicking Motion - I found you need slightly bigger kicks with pods but not to the point where Im using more energy. MS Viper required shorter kicks but more of them = using more energy. Overall I'm getting on the waves how I should be which is what I need when waves are bigger as well. I guess for bodysurfing not so bad as I'm totally in the water.
Received the fins mate. They were so futuristic looking , now I really know what a top of the line fin feels like. The fit is perfect, I don’t even need the sock anymore they are so comfortable. Thank you Shane
Best customer service experience i have ever had, Shane the owner walked me threw my process and made it a pain free experience. I could not find these in the states, but more than happy buying these from Australia instead of going with some the other brands. I have only used Churchhills and finally happy to try some thing else out and this is my first choice of whats out there.
The PF3 fins are by far the best I've used! I've tried Da Fin, UDTs and Vipers. None come close as I have torn ligaments and can't use them. Yours are pain free and powerful. Thank you!
Thank you POD for producing such a brilliant bodyboard fin the PF3…..buy far the best fin on the market…not to mention the best leashes too…Every other company just pushes any sort of crap out there …. you can tell POD put quality time into designing the gear You produce well designed, athletically pleasing bodyboarding gear…competitors don’t come close…
Thanks for the Fins arrived in 3 working days to New Zealand great Customer Service.
I got a pair in the states recently. I absolutely love them but they do run slightly large in their sizing. My pair is a bit big for me so I might have to get some fin socks to make them snug. but they are the best rubber and most comfortable fins I've ever used
got a pair on the weekend. and they are unreal... I have been bodyboarding for 15 years and they are the best. they do run slightly large in the sizing so best to try them on before getting them, you won't regret it.
I've owned all the major brands of fins and can say with no reservations that the POD PF3 Evo is the best fins I have ever owned. I'm 107kg and I need some serious thrust and the PF3 delivers in spades, whilst being the most comfortable fins I've owned. I'm a 11-12 normally but I fit comfortably into the 10-11 PF3, very snug. Thanks to Shane for taking the time to help me get the right fit. Proud to support a great Australian brand.
