Your foot should sit fully in the pocket with no gap at the heel and no pressure points across your toes or the top of your foot. Too tight restricts circulation and cramps your feet over a session. Too loose, and the fin moves on your foot, rubs, and can come off in the surf. PF2 natural rubber stretches up to 5 mm in the pocket and 10 to 15 mm at the strap, so a fit that feels firm on dry land settles once it's wet. If your foot sits at the lower end of a size, 3mm neoprene fin socks close up the gap.
