Fin Fit and Comfort
Three products solve the most common fit problems with rubber swim fins. 3mm Neoprene Fin Socks fill the gap when your foot sits slightly small in the fin, and their stitch-free inner arch removes a common rub point. Deluxe Fin Savers use 6mm webbing and 4mm neoprene padding to hold the fin at the ankle without the bulk of wider straps. Swim Fin Savers and Heel Protectors use a single registered ONE-strap connection between ankle and fin strap, keeping drag and extra parts to a minimum. Ear Protection
Three EarSeal models, each shaped for different water.
- Dual-Flange - shorter insertion and natural sound awareness, with a loop for your goggle strap. Suits pool swimmers, swim cap users and casual ocean swims.
- Triple-Flange - deeper insertion for a stronger seal and more sound reduction, on a 47cm cord. Suits surfers, bodyboarders and cold-water swimmers.
- Pro EarSeal - one-piece and filter-free, so there's no mesh to clog with salt or sand, with a 90cm adjustable cord and a ventilated silicone pouch. Suits serious ocean use in heavy, turbulent water.
Should I wear earplugs when swimming or surfing?
If you spend regular time in cold water, wind or the ocean, earplugs reduce how much water and cold reach the ear canal. Over time that exposure can contribute to irritation, trapped moisture, swimmer's ear and surfer's ear. Read Ear Health for Surfers and Swimmers.
Can I use foam or sleeping earplugs for swimming?
They aren't made for it. Foam soaks up water and loses its seal, and earplugs designed for noise aren't built to stay sealed in moving water. Swimming earplugs use soft, flanged rubber or silicone that seals against water.
How do I put swimming earplugs in?
Reach over your head with the opposite hand and gently pull the top of your ear up and back to straighten the canal. Then ease the earplug in with a slight twist until the flanges seal. It should feel snug, never forced.
How do I stop earplugs falling out?
A deeper, triple-flange fit holds better in surf, and a cord keeps them with you if one comes loose. Read Why Earplugs Fail in Surf and Open Water.
Can I still hear with earplugs in?
Yes, to a degree. The Dual-Flange keeps the most natural sound awareness. The Pro EarSeal manages sound through its TPR material rather than a filter, so you stay aware of your surroundings.
Can I use earplugs with grommets or an ear infection?
If you have grommets, a perforated eardrum or an ear infection, check with your doctor before using earplugs in the water.
Can I dive with them?
They're made for surface water sports, not for scuba or breath-hold diving beyond 2 to 3 metres.
Swim Training

Board Covers
Knitted stretch covers for bodyboards, shortboards, mini mals and longboards protect boards from dings, sun and sand in transit and storage.
Spares and Tools
Good gear shouldn't be thrown out for want of one part. The universal hex key and the wax comb, which doubles as a hex key and bottle opener, keep set screws tight. Replacement handboard straps, 4mm leash cord, handplane webbing retainers and bodyboard plugs keep boards and handplanes in the water. For leashes and fins, 316 marine-grade stainless swivels, grub screws, buckles and rail savers are also available.
The Standard
Every product in this collection has been designed or selected to meet the same criteria applied across the full POD range. Does it function correctly in real conditions. Does it last. Does it solve a real problem. If the answer to any of those questions is no, it does not carry the POD name.
